In the conditions of nucleophilic substitution the aromatic compounds are converted completely. Using the method of gas chromatography with flame ionization and mass spectrometric detectors the structure of all synthesized compounds was studied and the following series of increasing reactivity of the polychlorinated biphenyls congeners was revealed: tetra- < penta- < hexachlorobiphenyls.
