Аннотация: The present paper describes unusual reactions of lithium enolate of ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxobutanoate with ammonium acetate and 1-aminonaphthalene. These reactions produce 4-amino-2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine and 4-trifluoromethyl-2-[(Z)-1,1,1-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol-1-yl]benzo[h]quinoline, respectively. The reaction of 1,1,7,7,7-hexafluoroheptane-2,4,6-trione hydrate with 1-naphthylamine gives a mixture of 4-trifluoromethyl-2-[(Z)-1,1,1-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol-1-yl]benzo[h]quinoline and N,N′-bis(naphth-1-yl)-2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine-4(1H)-imine, respectively

Аннотация: An effecient synthetic method for fluorinated tridentate ?-aminoenones and tetradentate bis(?-aminoenones) via amination of fluorinated 1,3-diketones with o-phenylenediamine in the presence of trialkyl borates was developed. Ni(II), Cu(II) and Pd(II) complexes with tetradentate bis(?-aminoenones) were obtained. Аннотация: 4-Phenyl-2,6-bis(trifluoroacetyl)cyclohexanone and its dilithium salt were synthesized starting from the commercially available 4-phenylcyclohexanone. With X-ray structure analysis of these compounds, for the first time the solid state structure determination for a fluorinated 1,3,5-triketone and an alkaline salt of 1,3,5-triketone was achieved. The subsequent multinuclear NMR and MS investigations revealed that in solution and gas phase, analogously to the crystal, both compounds exist predominantly in a highly delocalized double U-enol(ate) form. The carbonyl O…O distances in the dilithium salt were established to be considerably longer than the distances between oxygens of the parent 1,3,5-triketone, bonded by strong (short) resonance assisted hydrogen bonds. Among the 1,3,5-tricarbonyl compounds with known crystal structure, the entitled 1,3,5-triketone shows comparatively weak delocalization over the conjugated bis-enolone backbone.

Аннотация: We report on the synthesis and temperature-dependent magnetic properties observed in an exchange-coupled copper(ii) dimer using X/Q-band Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy (9/34 GHz). It has been found that the zero-field splitting (D) in the dimer changes gradually by a factor close to two in the temperature range from T = 50 to 300 K. X-ray diffraction data show that this dimer consists of two five-coordinated copper ions, one of which has a highly asymmetric geometry intermediate between square pyramid and trigonal bipyramid. The copper-copper distance in the dimer is temperature-independent, whereas the degree of trigonality in an asymmetric unit decreases as the temperature is lowered. Therefore we suppose that the observed dependence D(T) originates from the interplay of different exchange interaction pathways driven by these thermal changes. Magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal weak ferromagnetic interactions, whose anisotropic parts should indeed be very sensitive to the subtle changes in the geometry and may result in apparent D(T). Аннотация: 2,6-Bis(5-trifluoromethylpyrazol-3-yl)pyridine (H2L) and its mono-, tri-, and tetranuclear NiII complexes were synthesized for the first time. All the obtained compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the complexes, 2,6-bis(5-trifluoromethylpyrazol-3-yl) pyridine exists in the neutral and dianionic forms and exhibits different coordination modes (κ3-, μ2-κ3: κ1-, and μ3-κ3: κ1:κ1). The electrochemical and magnetic properties of all compounds were studied. The tetranuclear NiII complex with the L2- dianion is reduced in two sequential reversible one-electron steps

Аннотация: The reaction of fluorinated lithium 1,3-diketonates with propargylamine hydrochloride and 1,1,1-trifluorpentane-2,4-dione or 1,1,1-trifluoro-4-methoxypent-3-en-2-one with propargylamine and 3-aminophenylacetylene were performed to obtain fluorinated 1,3-enaminones containing at a nitrogen atom substituents with terminal C≡C bonds: (Z)-1,1,1-trifluoro-4-(2-propynylamino)-3-pentene-2-one, (Z)-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoro-5-(2-propynylamino)-4-hexen-3-one, and 4-(3-ethynylphenylamino)-1,1,1-trifluoropentyl-3-en-2-one. Reactions of 4-(3-ethynyl-phenylamino)-1,1,1-trifluoro-pentyl-3-en-2-one with Cu(II) acetate or nanosized powder of copper or its oxides led to the respective chelate complex.
