Аннотация: In this work, we report the synthesis of novel coumarin-bipyridine conjugates using a sequence of C-C coupling reaction between 5,7-dimethoxycoumarins and 3-pyridyl-6-aryl-1,2,4-triazines followed by the Boger reaction with norbornandiene to obtain 8-[2,2'-bipyridyl]-5,7-dimethoxycoumarins. Photophysical properties were investigated for the obtained series of 8-[2,2'-bipyridyl]-5,7-dimethoxycoumarins: absorption and emission wavelength maxima are in the region of 212-296 and 401-410 nm, respectively; Stokes shifts are up to 116 nm, and fluorescence quantum yields are up to 15.0%. It was found that titrating the conjugates with Al3+, Zn2+, and Cd2+ ions results in an increase in the intensity of the emission maxima of the complexes, while the opposite effect was observed in the case of titration with Cu2+ ions. These findings suggest that the studied compounds may be considered as promising chemosensing materials. Finally, a positive solvatochromism of 8-[2,2'-bipyridyl]coumarins and their metal complexes was established. The experimental data are supported by mathematical calculations according to the Lippert-Matagaequation and Kosower diagram.

Аннотация: According to the 1H, 13C, and 19F NMR data, fluoroalkyl-containing 1,2,3-trione 2-arylhydrazones in CDCl3 exist exclusively, while in (CD3)2CO preferentially, as isomers in which the acyl or aroyl group is involved in intramolecular hydrogen bond. The isomer structure was assigned on the basis of the chemical shifts of the carbonyl carbon atoms and fluorine atoms and carbon-fluorine spin-spin coupling constants J C-F. X-Ray diffraction data showed that 1,2,3-trione 2-arylhydrazones in crystal have the same structure as in CDCl3 solution. Quantum-chemical calculations were performed to rationalize predominant formation of 1,2,3-trione 2-arylhydrazone isomers with a free polyfluoroacyl group

Аннотация: Polysiloxanes containing nonchelating 3-aminopropyl and chelating N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl groups with the degree of functionalization of 28 and 24%, respectively, were prepared by sol–gel synthesis. The polysiloxanes obtained showed comparable activity in sorption of Pd(II), Pt(IV), Fe(III), Cd(II), Zn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Pb(II), Ca(II), and Mg(II) ions from model multicomponent solutions. At pH 3,3-aminopropylpolysiloxane selectively takes up platinoid ions. The chelating structure of N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl groups leads to a decrease in the selectivity of the interaction with Pd(II) ions but increases the affinity for Fe(III), Ni(II), and Cu(II). Preconcentration in the dynamic mode allows quantitative sorption of Pd(II) and Pt(IV), followed by virtually quantitative elution of the metal ions from the sorbent surface.

Аннотация: The grafting of thiourea on chitosan backbone allows synthesizing a thiocarbamoyl derivative that was very efficient for mercury sorption in acidic solutions. Though the sorption capacity is not increased compared to raw chitosan in near neutral solutions, this modification allowed maintaining high sorption capacity (close to 2.3 mmol Hg g-1) at pH 2. Mercury sorption in acidic solutions is not affected by the presence of competitor metals (such as Zn(II), Pb(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Ni(II)) or the presence of nitrate anions (even at concentration as high as 0.8 M)). The presence of chloride or sulfate anions (0.8 M) decreased Hg(II) sorption capacity to 1 mmol Hg g-1. Kinetics are controlled by a combination of pseudo second-order reaction rate and resistance to intraparticle diffusion. Mercury desorption reached about 75% using thiourea (in HCl solution)

Аннотация: Epoxy derivatives of internal fluoroolefins (both cis and trans isomers) react in a stereospecific manner with (1S)-or rac-camphor thiosemicarbazone in a polar aprotic medium to give the corresponding 5-fluoro-4-hydroxy-4,5-bis(polyfluoroalkyl)thiazol-2-ylhydrazones. From unsymmetrical 2,3-epoxydodeca-fluorohexane a mixture of regioisomeric hydrazones is formed. According to the 1H and 19F NMR data, the resulting trans-hydrazones in (CD3)2SO and CDCl3 exist as mixtures of diastereoisomers occurring in a dynamic equilibrium.

Аннотация: This study presents a simple and effective synthesis method of N-(2-sulfoethyl)chitosan (NSE-chitosan) via a reaction between sodium 2-bromoethanesulfonate and chitosan that allows polymer transformation without using additional reagents and organic solvents. The chemical structure of the obtained NSE-chitosan was characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopies. Thermogravimetric study of NSE-chitosan coupled with FT-IR analysis has shown stability of the polymer up to 200 °C, which almost does not change with the increase of degree of substitution (DS). The sorption of transition and alkaline earth metal ions from multicomponent solutions on NSE-chitosan was investigated. The synthesized sorbents showed the selective recovery of silver(I) and copper(II) ions from ammonium acetate buffer solution. The increase of DS enhanced the selectivity to silver(I) ions sorption in comparison with copper(II) ions. Selectivity coefficients KAg/Cu increase from 1.3 to 10.9 with DS increasing up to 0.7 (ammonium acetate buffer solution, pH 6.5). Sorption isotherms of transition metal ions on NSE-chitosan with DS = 0.5 have been fitted using Langmuir, Freundlich, and Redlich-Peterson models. The maximum sorption capacities of sorbent in ammonium acetate buffer solution at pH 6.0 were 1.72 mmol/g for Cu(II), 1.23 mmol/g for Ag(I) and below 0.5 mmol/g for Co(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Mn(II) and Ni(II) ions

Аннотация: Реакция окисей интернальных фторолефионов в E-, Z-форме с тиосемикарбазоном (1S)- или рацемической камфоры в среде полярного апротонного растворителя приводит к стереоспецифичному образованию 4',5'-бис(полифторалкил)-5'-фтор-1',3-тиазол-2'-илгидразонов (1S)- или рацемической камфоры соответственно. Несимметричный додекафтор-2,3-эпоксигексан образует смесь региоизомерных гидразонов. Методами ЯМР (1)H и (19)F установлено, что E-изомеры полученных гидразонов в среде (CD3)2SO и CDCl3 представляют собой смеси диастереомеров, находящихся в динамическом равновесии
