Аннотация: 4-Phenyl-2,6-bis(trifluoroacetyl)cyclohexanone and its dilithium salt were synthesized starting from the commercially available 4-phenylcyclohexanone. With X-ray structure analysis of these compounds, for the first time the solid state structure determination for a fluorinated 1,3,5-triketone and an alkaline salt of 1,3,5-triketone was achieved. The subsequent multinuclear NMR and MS investigations revealed that in solution and gas phase, analogously to the crystal, both compounds exist predominantly in a highly delocalized double U-enol(ate) form. The carbonyl O…O distances in the dilithium salt were established to be considerably longer than the distances between oxygens of the parent 1,3,5-triketone, bonded by strong (short) resonance assisted hydrogen bonds. Among the 1,3,5-tricarbonyl compounds with known crystal structure, the entitled 1,3,5-triketone shows comparatively weak delocalization over the conjugated bis-enolone backbone.

Аннотация: The behavior of linear and cyclic fluorinated 1,3,5-triketones and their metal derivatives towards common halogenating agents was examined, and optimal reaction conditions for the straightforward synthesis of mono-, di-, and tetrahalogenated products were found (Schemes 1-3). An aromatization through a double HBr elimination from an ,-dibrominated cyclohexanone was shown to be a promising synthetic route to 1,1-(2-hydroxy-1,3-phenylene)bis[2,2,2-trifluoroethanones] (= 2,6-bis(trifluoroacetyl)phenols; Scheme 4). Additionally, the 1,3,5-triketones prepared add readily H2O or alcohols to produce novel bridged 2,6-dihydroxypyran-4-ones (Scheme 2). The structure of the obtained compounds 6a and 7a was confirmed by X-ray structure analysis.

Аннотация: Several new mononuclear complexes of Pd(II) have been prepared from perfluorobutyl substituted 1,3,5-triketones (containing linear and carbocycle backbones) and perfluoroheptanoyl cyclohexanone. 1,3-Diketones formed a mixture of trans- and cis-forms, whereas 1,3,5-triketones gave trans-complexes exclusively. The enolization of the non-bonded carbonyls in this case depends on the nature of substituents at positions 2 and 4 of the 1,3,5-triketone moiety. The molecular structure of one triketonate complex was confirmed by X-ray single crystal investigation.????

Аннотация: The interaction of tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite (TMSO)3P and E-trifluoromethyl-alkoxyenones CF3C(O)CHCHOEt and CF3C(O)CHC(OMe)Me yielded mixtures of E-1,2- and Z-1,4-adducts, CF3C(OTMS)[P(O)(OTMS)2]CCH(OAlk)R 2 and CF3(OTMS)CCHCR(OAlk)[P(O)(OTMS)2] 3 where R and Alk = H and Me, or both Me. Conversion of these 1,2-adducts to 1,4-isomers was effected by increased temperature or by exposure to more tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite. Acid hydrolysis of 2b (R and Alk = Me) gave ketophosphonic acid CF3C(OH)[P(O)(OH)2]CH2COMe in 88% yield, whereas hydrolysis of 2a (R = H and Alk = Et) with KOH in methanol gave CF3C(OH)[P(O)(OK)2]CHCHOEt in 37% yield. Acid hydrolysis of 3a (R = H and Alk = Et) and 3b (R and Alk = Me) gave phosphonic acid CF3C(OH)2CHCHP(O)(OH)2 in 82% yield and trifluoromethylated 1,2,5,4-oxaphosphol-3-en

Аннотация: A simple, convenient and effective method to synthesize 1,1,1,7,7,7-hexafluoroheptane-2,4,6-trione, the simplest fluorinated 1,3,5-triketone, on a preparative scale was developed. The title compound was obtained by a Claisen-type double condensation of acetone with trifluoroacetic acid ethyl ester and isolated as a solid monohydrate from the reaction mixture. Subsequent dehydration proceeds smoothly to produce the desired compound as an individual substance. Its peculiar tautomeric (keto–enol, ring–chain) features in various solvents are discussed

Аннотация: Heterospin complexes of bis(?2-1,1,2,2,8,8,9,9-octafluorononane-3,5,7-trionato)dicopper(II) ([Cu2L2]) with nitronyl nitroxides 2-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole-1-oxyl 3-oxide (2) and 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-(3-pyridinyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole-1-oxyl 3-oxide (1) were synthesized and structurally characterized. Crystals of the complexes are formed by the discrete bis[1-methyl-4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-3-oxide-1-oxyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole]-bis (?2-1,1,2,2,8,8,9,9-octafluorononane-3,5,7-trionato)dicopper(II) etherate (3) and bis[3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-3-oxide-1-oxyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl)pyridine]-bis (?2-1,1,2,2,8,8,9,9-octafluorononane-3,5,7-trionato)dicopper(II) (4) molecules. Each Cu atom of the dinuclear chelate fragment coordinates one paramagnetic ligand through the N atom of the pyrazole or pyridine fragment, respectively. In complex 3, the paramagnetic ligands are located on one side of the plane of the chelate fragment, whereas the ligands in complex 4 are located above and below the plane of the chelate fragment. The magnetic properties of complexes 3 and 4 are determined by dominant antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the unpaired electrons of the CuII atoms in the dinuclear Cu2L2 moiety

Аннотация: A new fluorine-containing tetradentate ligand 1,2-bis(5,5,5-trifluoro-4-oxopent-2-en-2-amino)benzene and its complexes with Ni(II), Pd(II) and Cu(II) are characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It is found that the enaminoketone fragments of the ligand are identical in bond lengths and angles; they are almost planar, and make the angles of 51.3° to the plane of the benzene ring. The structures of Ni(II), Pd(II), and Cu(II) complexes are similar and have a saddle-shape configuration. The metal ions have square planar coordination and are located almost in the center of the N2O2 square. The average M-N bond lengths are longer than M-O ones by 0.014 A and 0.034 A for the Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes respectively, while in the Pd(II) complex, M-O is longer than M-N by 0.029 A. Аннотация: Dinuclear heterospin complexes of CuII and MnII 1,1,1,7,7,7-hexafluoroheptane-2,4,6-trionates ([Cu2L2] and [Mn2L2], respectively) with nitronyl nitroxides 2-R-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole-3-oxide 1-oxyls (NIT-R, R = H, Me, Et, m-C5H4N, m-NCC6H4, p-NCC6H4, PzMe) and the diradical NIT-Pz-(CH2)4-Pz-NIT (Pz is 1,4-pyrazolylene) were synthesized and structurally characterized. In the complexes under study, the CuII atom tends to have the square-pyramidal coordination environment, and the MnII atom is in an octahedral environment. The magnetochemical investigation of the compounds in the temperature range of 2–300 K showed that the antiferromagnetic exchange coupling dominates in the [Cu2L2] molecules, whereas this coupling in [Mn2L2] is manifested in the experimental plot µeff(T) at T < 100 K. The magnetic properties of the heterospin complexes of [Cu2L2] with NIT-R are also determined by the intramatrix antiferromagnetic exchange coupling. For the complexes of [Mn2L2] with NIT-R, the coordination mode of the nitroxide plays a decisive role.

Аннотация: Ethyl 1-trifluoromethyl-1-hydroxy-3-oxo-phosphonates, the related (methyl)phosphinates and (phenyl) phosphinates, and phosphine oxides were obtained in good yield via direct phosphonylation of acyltrifluoroacetones with diethyl phosphite, ethyl (methyl) phosphonite, ethyl (phenyl) phosphonite, and diphenylphosphine oxide in the presence of triethyl borate. The subsequent dehydration of the selected phosphonates and phosphinates proceeds smoothly affording previously unknown diethyl 1,2-unsaturated 1-trifluoromethyl-3-oxophosphonates, ethyl 1-trifluoromethyl-3-oxo(methyl)-, and ethyl 1-trifluoromethyl-3-oxo(phenyl) phosphinates in good yields
