Аннотация: Results are presented from an investigation of uitrasoft x-ray L alfa and OK alfa spectra and the binding energies of inner 2p3/2 and Ols levels in metavanadates of fourthperiod elements M-V206 (where M = Ca, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn) and the corresponding oxides MO and V2O5. The spectral characteristics that have been obtained are used as the basis for an examination of the question of the character of chemical bonding in metavanadates and oxides of fourth-period elements

Аннотация: In the frequency interval 3.9-20 MHz, we have obtained the 23Na and 51V NMR spectra for single crystals of NaxV205 (x = 0.22; 0.27; 0.33). We have shown that the magnetic properties of the given compounds are sufficiently correctly described in the delocalized electron approximation. On the basis of comparison of the experimental parameters of the electric field gradients and the values of the gradients obtained as a result of calculations of the electronic structure, we have established that the Fermi level is formed by the 3d states of electrons at the V I and V 3 positions

Аннотация: The parameters of hyperfine interactions on 51V nuclei were determined on films of the inclusion compound H2VI2031-y.n H20 at different stages of hydration. It was established that the axial symmetry plane of the magnetic interaction tensor coincides with the film plane. The most probable direction (40 ° of the film plane) and the magnitude of the electric field gradient (EFG) on 51V nuclei (eqQ/h = 0.233 MHz) were found for a completely dehydrated sample. An analysis of the line width angular dependences of satellites has shown the existence of a disorientation of the main EFG direction with a distribution width of about 50 ° in the film plane. The absence of satellites and the presence of an angular dependence of the 51V NMR central signal of hydrated samples allowed the conclusion that the interaction of the V--O layer with molecules of water led to an increase in the disorientation of the film plane

Аннотация: Using physicochemical methods we showed that continuous (15 days) exposure of monazite powder in humic acid (HA) solutions with different acidity gives rise to one to two orders of magnitude growth in the concentration of the monazite’ p-, d- and f-elements of Periodic Table (Mg, Al, Si, P, Pb, Ti, Bi, Sc, Ti-Zn, REE, Th, U). The growth in the elements concentration in the humic solutions contacting monazite is shown to depend on the initial concentration of HA in the solutions, pH. It is concluded that these factors should be taken into consideration when inorganic phosphates and alike phases are used as a matrix for the radionuclide wastes solidification

Аннотация: In H2VI2031-y.nH20 films with different degrees of hydration, parameters of hyperfine interaction on SlY nuclei have been determined. It has been established that the of axial symmetry plane of the tensor of magnetic interactions coincides with the plane of the film. For a completely dehydrated specimen, values have been found for the most probable direction (40 ~ from the plane of the film) and magnitude of the electric field gradient (EFG) on SiV nuclei (eq-Q/h = 0.2333 MHz). Analysis of the angular dependence of the width of the satellites has shown the presence of disorientation of the principal direction of the EFG with a width of distribution about 50 ~ in the plane of the film. In view of the absence of satellites and the presence of an angular dependence of the central transition of the 51V NMR spectra of the hydrated specimens, it can be stated that the interaction of the V-O layer with water molecules leads to an increase of disorientation in the plane of the film. The change in magnetic shifts is discussed, and it is concluded that there is a nonuniform change of population of the conduction band upon dehydration

The most important texture parameters and the photoelectron and IR spectra of the oxides are reported. The oxides exhibit high catalytic activity in chlorobenzene oxidation, which is due to their specific electronic and crystal structures

The concentration of the dissolved elements depends on the initial content of HA in solution and on pH. These factors should be taken into account when using inorganic phosphates as matrices for long-term storage of radioactive and toxic elements
