Аннотация: A new perovskite-like compound Er0.73Cu3V4O12 (space group Im3, Z = 2, a = 7.266 Å) has been synthesized barothermally (P = 8.0 GPa, t = 1000°C). Its electrical and magnetic properties have been studied. It is found that the temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity (in the range 78–300 K) has of semiconductor type. The behavior of the impedance and admittance has been analyzed at 290 K and frequencies of 200 Hz to 200 kHz under atmospheric pressure and at high (15–42 GPa) pressures

The activation energy (~2.85 eV) and enthalpies of electron generation (=,4.2 eV) and migration (~-0.75 eV) were determined. A correlation between the band gap and electronic conductivity of the solid solutions was revealed

Аннотация: The equilibrium oxygen content of YBa2Cu3_ xCoxO6 + 8 (0.2 x 0.8) solid solutions was determined by coulometric titration at temperatures in the range 600-850~ and oxygen pressures 1 Po2 105 Pa. The partial enthalpy and entropy of oxygen dissolution were evaluated as a function of composition. The thermodynamic functions were found to change sharply near the high- and low-oxygen limits of the solid solution. The results are interpreted in terms of a quasi-chemical model considering three inequivalent oxygen sites in the basal plane

Аннотация: Ceramic samples of LaSr2Fe3-yCryO8+δ are characterized with X-ray powder diffraction and total conductivity measurements in the temperature range 750- 950°C and at oxygen partial pressures between 10-22 and 0.5 atm. It is shown that partial replacement of iron for chromium is an effective means to prevent structural transformation at the loss of oxygen. The isothermal ion conductivity is obtained from the analysis of the total conductivity, and it is shown to decrease with the increase in chromium doping to y = 0.6. However further increase in the chromium content to y = 1 results in an increase in the oxygen ion conductivity level. This behavior is explained with a model where the oxygen ions coordinated to chromium are not excluded entirely from the transport mechanism

Аннотация: Analysis of phase diagram of beryllium at high pressures and temperatures obtained as a result of ab initio calculations and large scale classical molecular dynamics simulations of beryllium shock loading have shown that the so called cold melting takes place when shock wave propagates through polycrystalline samples. Comparison of ab initio calculation results on sound speed along the Hugoniot with experimental data obtained on Z-machine also evidences for possible manifestation of the cold melting. The last may explain the discrepancy between atomistic simulations and experimental data on the onset of the melting on the Hugoniot.
