Аннотация: Exchange interactions in the quasi-one-dimensional complex oxides Sr4MgMn2O9, Ba6MgMn4O15, Ba8MgMn6O21, and Ba9M2Mn5O21 (M–Cu, Zn, Mg) have been studied by electron paramagnetic resonance. The temperature dependence of the spectral parameters showed that the exchange interaction is antiferromagnetic and occurs mainly inside the manganese-containing groups and to a lesser extent between them

Аннотация: The magnetic properties of complex oxides Ln2Mn2/3Mo4/3O7 (Ln = Sm, Gd, Tb, or Y) with a pyrochlore-type structure are studied in the temperature range 2–300 K. For all compounds in the paramagnetic state, the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility is described by a generalized Curie–Weiss law with a temperature-independent component of ~10–6 cm3/g and with a Weiss constant Q < 0 and Q| < 16 K. At low temperatures (T < 10–12 K), the compounds have spin-glass properties; they exhibit magnetic and temperature hysteresis and the typical dependences of the imaginary and real parts of the dynamic magnetic susceptibility on temperature and the frequency of an ac magnetic field in a wide range of magnetization relaxation times. The data obtained suggest that d electrons are responsible for the formation of frustrated exchange interactions in the compounds and that 4f electrons in the compounds with Sm or Tb provide strong magnetic-anisotropy effects

Аннотация: Catalytic properties of γ-Al203-supported complex vanadium and chromium oxides V2-xCrx05-δ (0 < x < 1.3), amorphous to X-rays, in the reduction of nitrogen oxides with ammonia were studied. Vanadium exists in these catalysts mostly in a pentavalent state and chromium exists as Cr 3+ and Cr 6+. As the content of chromium in the catalysts increases, the optimal temperature of the process decreases, and the degree of conversion of nitrogen oxides increases
