Аннотация: A new type of intramolecular cyclization of 1,5-bis[2-(E-3-oxo-3-phenylprop-1-enyl)-phenoxy]-3-oxapentane with 3-aminotriazole promoted by potassium ions was discovered. A cascade mechanism for the formation of crownophane with 4,7-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidine fragment was suggested. Effects of oligooxyethylene fragment of the chalcone podand and acid-base catalysis on the selectivity of the cyclocondensation processes and degree of oxidation of triazolopyrimidine fragments were studied. The product structures were confirmed by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction study

Аннотация: The reactions of 3-aryl-1,2,4-triazines with -aminovinyl ketones or ethyl -aminocrotonates in acetic anhydride at room temperature afforded cyclic products of the tandem nucleophilic addition, viz., 3a,4,7,7a-tetrahydro-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-e]-1,2,4-triazines, in good yields. Under oxidative conditions, the latter compounds underwent the pyrrole-ring opening under the action of potassium permanganate to form the corresponding triazinones and were transformed into thriazolyl-substituted pyridines under the action of selenious acid

Аннотация: Six novel donor–π–acceptor organic dyes bearing a pyrimidine as the anchoring group have been obtained in good yields by combination of the microwave-assisted Suzuki cross-coupling and nucleophilic aromatic substitution of hydrogen reactions. Their absorption, photoluminescence and electrochemical properties were fully investigated in detail. The infrared spectra of dyes adsorbed on TiO2 indicate the formation of coordinate bonds between the pyrimidine ring of dyes and the Lewis acid sites (exposed Tin+ cations) of the TiO2 surface. This work demonstrates that the pyrimidine rings of dye sensitizers that form a coordinate bond with the Lewis acid site of a TiO2 surface are promising candidates as the electron-withdrawing anchoring group. The data from quantum calculations show that all of the dyes are potentially good photosensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells

Аннотация: Reactions of aliphatic aminopodands having different length of the polyether chain with acetoacetic ester and 2,2,6-trimethyl-4H-1,3-dioxin-4-one were studied. The interaction of aminopodands with acetoacetic ester in toluene upon sonication (60A degrees D) or heating (90A degrees D) gave podands with terminal aminocrotonate fragments. The use of dioxinone at the same temperature allowed to transform aminopodands into aliphatic acetoacetamide-containing podands. An asymmetric podand with 2-pyridone fragment was isolated as byproduct from the reaction of dioxinone with 1,5-diamino-3-oxapentane. A three-component Biginelli reaction of acetoacetamidecontaining podands with benzaldehyde and urea in the presence of catalytic amounts of polyphosphoric acid immobilized on nanosized TiO2-SiO2 oxide surface enabled the synthesis of podands with 1,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-(1De)-one fragments.

Аннотация: 1,8-Bis(diisothiosemicarbazido)-3,6-dioxaoctane have been synthesized by subsequent treatment of 2,2 -(ethylenedioxy)bisethylamine with carbon disulfide, sodium chloroacetate, and hydrazine hydrate. 1,8-Bis- (diisothiosemicarbazido)-3,6-dioxaoctane has reacted with lithium 1,1-difluoropenta-2,4-dionate in glacial acetic acid to yield 1,8-bis[5R*,5 R*(5-hydroxy-5-difluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1-carbothioamido]-3,6-dioxaoctane. The molecular and crystal structure of the product has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Аннотация: General method for preparation of high yields of novel N-protected carborane amino acid derivatives, 3-acylamino-1-carboxymethyl-2-R-o-carboranes (R = H, Me, Ph), is reported. The synthesis starts from readily available 3-amino-o-carboranes and includes the protection of amino group, introduction of carboxymethyl function to the carbon atom of polyhedron via the metallation of carborane CH bond with sodium amide in liquid ammonia, and treatment of corresponding sodium carboranes with sodium bromoacetate. Deprotection of N-acylated carborane amino acids is studied in acidic media. Depending on the procedure employed, closo- or nido-carborane amino acids were obtained
