Аннотация: The condensation of 4-hydroxy-3,5-diphenyl-2-phenyliminothiazolidine with 5-fluoro-4-morpholino- and 5-fluoro-4-(4-methylpiperazino)-1,2-phenylenediamines leads to region-isomeric thiazolo[3,4-a]quinoxalines differing in substituents in positions 7 and 8 of the benzene ring. From the ratio of isomers formed it follows that the mesomeric effect of a fluorine atom in 1,2-phenylenediamines is comparable with the influence of an aminosubstituent

Аннотация: Combination of the Suzuki cross-coupling and nucleophilic aromatic substitution of hydrogen (SNH) reactions proved to be a convenient method for the synthesis of 5-styryl-4-(hetero)aryl substituted pyrimidines from commercially available 5-bromopyrimidine. All intermediate 5-bromo-4-(hetero)aryl substituted pyrimidines and also the targeted 5-styryl-4-(hetero)arylpyrimidines were found to be active in micromolar concentrations in vitro against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, avium, terrae, and multi-drug-resistant strain isolated from tuberculosis patients in Ural region (Russia). It has been found that some of these compounds possess a low toxicity and have a bacteriostatic effect, comparable and even higher with that of first-line antituberculosis drugs

Аннотация: A satisfactory correlation between the polarographic reduction potentials and the calculated energies of the lower vacant molecular orbitals was found for a number of N-methylazinium cations. The result of the aza effect and the benzoannelation effect is a shift of the reduction potentials to the positive region by 0.2-0.5 and 0.2-0.7 V, respectively. Electron transfer from N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyl-p-phenylenediamine to the most electrophilic cations was recorded. The possibility of the occurrence of reactions involving aminoarylation of the acridinium cation via a one-electron mechanism was demonstrated electrochemically and by model reactions

Аннотация: The Petasis reaction of 6-hydroxy adducts of 1-alkyl-2,3-dicyano-5-arylpyrazinium salts with trans-styrylboronic acids proved to proceed smoothly at room temperature to give the corresponding 5-(hetero)aryl-6-styryl substituted 1,6-dihydropyrazine derivatives. Also it has been found that C(6) unsubstituted 1,6-dihydro- or 1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrazine derivatives can be easy prepared in high yields from the corresponding pyrazinium salts by reduction with triethylsilane. All synthesized compounds were screened in vitro for their antifungal activities against seven pathogenic fungal strains and antimycobacterial activities against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H(37)Rv, avium, terrae and multi-drug-resistant strains isolated from tuberculosis patients in the Ural region (Russia)

Аннотация: Various 5-(fluoroaryl)-4-(hetero)aryl substituted pyrimidines have been synthesized based on the Suzuki cross-coupling and nucleophilic aromatic substitution of hydrogen (S-N(H)) reactions starting from commercially available 5-bromopyrimidine and their antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H(37)Rv has been explored. Аннотация: Synthetic routes to novel N-(purin-6-yl)- and N-(2-aminopurin-6-yl) conjugates with amino acids and glycine-containing dipeptides were developed. In vitro testing of 42 new and known compounds made it possible to reveal a series of N-(purin-6-yl)- and N-(2-aminopurin-6-yl) conjugates exhibiting significant antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, Mycobacterium avium, Mycobacterium terrae, and multidrug-resistant M. tuberculosis strain isolated from tuberculosis patients in the Ural region (Russia). Аннотация: New 3-(1H-imidazol-2-yl)-9H-carbazoles and 6,6′-di(1H-imidazol-2-yl)-9H,9′H-3,3′-bicarbazoles have been prepared, starting from 9-ethyl-9H-carbazole-3-carbaldehyde or 9,9′-diethyl-9H,9′H-[3,3′-bicarbazole]-6,6′-dicarbaldehyde through their reactions with 4-methoxyaniline or 4-fluoroaniline, benzil or 2,2′-thenil [1,2-di(thien-2,2′-yl) glyoxal] and ammonium acetate on reflux in glacial acetic acid. The obtained compounds have been shown to demonstrate an effective fluorescence in the blue spectral region, exhibiting quantum yields in the range of 0.08–0.51, depending on their molecular structure and solvent polarity. The nature of the observed absorption spectra has been elucidated by the TDDFT calculations.

Аннотация: Computer vision (CV) algorithms are widely utilized in imaging processing for medical and personal electronics applications. In sensorics CV can provide a great potential to quantitate chemosensors' signals. Here we wish to describe a method for the CV-assisted spectrofluorometer-free detection of common nitro-explosive components, e.g. 2,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT) and 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT), by using polyaromatic hydrocarbon (PAH, PAH = 1-pyrenyl or 9-anthracenyl) – based bola-type chemosensors. The PAH components of these chemical bolas are able to form stable, bright emissive in a visual wavelength region excimers, which allows their use as extended matrices of the RGB colors after imaging and digital processing. In non-polar solvents, the excimers have poor chemosensing properties, while in aqueous solutions, due to the possible micellar formation, these excimers provide “turn-off” fluorescence detection of DNT and TNT in the sub-nanomolar concentrations. A combination of these PAH-based fluorescent chemosensors with the proposed CV-assisted algorithm offers a fast and convenient approach for on-site, real-time, multi-thread analyte detection without the use of fluorometers. Although we focus on the analysis of nitro-explosives, the presented method is a conceptual work describing a general use of CV for quantitative fluorescence detection of various analytes as a simpler alternative to spectrofluorometer-assisted methods.

Аннотация: Pyrene-based compounds have a great potential as fluorescent chemosensors for various analytes including common nitroexplosives, such as 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT). Compounds having two pyrene units in one molecule, such as bispyrenylalkanes, are able to form stable, bright emissive in a visual wavelength region excimers both in non-polar and polar environments. In this work we wish to report that in non-polar solvents the excimer has poor chemosensing properties while in aqueous solutions it provides significant “turn-off” fluorescence response to TNT in the subnanomolar concentrations.

Аннотация: A series of novel V-shaped quinoxaline, [1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3,4-b]pyrazine and [1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4-b]pyrazine push–pull derivatives with 2,4′-biphenylene linker were designed and their electrochemical, photophysical and nonlinear optical properties were investigated. [1,2,5]Oxadiazolo[3,4-b]pyrazine is the stronger electron-withdrawing fragment as shown by electrochemical, and photophysical data. All compounds are emissive in a solid-state (from the cyan to red region of the spectrum) and quinoxaline derivatives are emissions in DCM solution. It has been found that quinoxaline derivatives demonstrate important solvatochromism and extra-large Stokes shifts, characteristic of twisted intramolecular charge transfer excited state as well as aggregation induced emission. The experimental conclusions have been justified by theoretical (TD-)DFT calculations.
