Аннотация: The present paper describes unusual reactions of lithium enolate of ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxobutanoate with ammonium acetate and 1-aminonaphthalene. These reactions produce 4-amino-2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine and 4-trifluoromethyl-2-[(Z)-1,1,1-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol-1-yl]benzo[h]quinoline, respectively. The reaction of 1,1,7,7,7-hexafluoroheptane-2,4,6-trione hydrate with 1-naphthylamine gives a mixture of 4-trifluoromethyl-2-[(Z)-1,1,1-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol-1-yl]benzo[h]quinoline and N,N′-bis(naphth-1-yl)-2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine-4(1H)-imine, respectively

Аннотация: New tetranuclear Cu(II) complex [Cu4(L)4]·MeCN (1) with 2,6-di(5-trifluoromethyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine (H2L) was synthesized. It has been shown that treatment of 1 with selected aza-ligands (pyridine, 2,2′- and 4,4′-bipyridyl, 2,3,5,6-tetra-(pyridine-2-yl)pyrazine, 2,2′;6′,2″-terpyridine and 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane) leads to formation of other Cu(II) complexes with different nuclearity: [Cu(L)py2] (2), [Cu(L)(2,2′-bpy)] (3), [Cu(L)2(tppz)]·THF (5), [Cu(L)tpy]·C6H5CN (4), {[Cu2(L)2(4,4′-bpy)2]·(C6H5CH3)·MeCN}n (6) and {[Cu(L)DABCO]·2MeCN}n (7). Obtained compounds were characterized by IR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography data, EPR and SQUID magnetic measurements. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Аннотация: 2,6-Bis(5-trifluoromethylpyrazol-3-yl)pyridine (H2L) and its mono-, tri-, and tetranuclear NiII complexes were synthesized for the first time. All the obtained compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the complexes, 2,6-bis(5-trifluoromethylpyrazol-3-yl) pyridine exists in the neutral and dianionic forms and exhibits different coordination modes (κ3-, μ2-κ3: κ1-, and μ3-κ3: κ1:κ1). Аннотация: We report on the synthesis and temperature-dependent magnetic properties observed in an exchange-coupled copper(ii) dimer using X/Q-band Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy (9/34 GHz). It has been found that the zero-field splitting (D) in the dimer changes gradually by a factor close to two in the temperature range from T = 50 to 300 K. X-ray diffraction data show that this dimer consists of two five-coordinated copper ions, one of which has a highly asymmetric geometry intermediate between square pyramid and trigonal bipyramid. The copper-copper distance in the dimer is temperature-independent, whereas the degree of trigonality in an asymmetric unit decreases as the temperature is lowered. Therefore we suppose that the observed dependence D(T) originates from the interplay of different exchange interaction pathways driven by these thermal changes. Magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal weak ferromagnetic interactions, whose anisotropic parts should indeed be very sensitive to the subtle changes in the geometry and may result in apparent D(T). Аннотация: 2-Methylthio-4-phenylamino-6,7,8-trifluoro-3H-quinazolin-4-one was synthesized by means of intramolecular cyclizations of S-methyl-N-(tetrafluorobenzoyl)isothiourea followed by a reaction with POCl3 and nucleophilic substitution at the 4-position. The reactions of the synthesized compound with amines proceed, depending on their nature, via substitution of either the F(7) atom or the SMe fragment in the 2-position. The antiviral activity of the obtained 6,7,8-trifluoro-2-ethylthioquinazolin-4-ones was investigated using monkeypox virus, smallpox vaccine, and ectromelia virus. It is shown that fluorinated quinazoline derivatives have good prospects in the search for new active substances
