Аннотация: The properties of dispersions of nanosized powders of yttrium oxide-stabilized cubic zirconium dioxide (YSZ) are studied. The sizes of YSZ aggregates are determined under different conditions. Dispersants for dispersions of YSZ nanosized powders in isopropanol are obtained through partial esterification of poly(acrylic acid) with triethyl orthoformate. The composition and structure of the dispersants are optimized. ??

Аннотация: UV absorption spectra of substituted 2-hydroxy-2-trifluoromethylchroman-4-ones (chromanones) in aqueous ethyleneglycol were studied. Replacement of hydrogen in the aromatic ring of the chromanones by CH3 or CF3 groups was shown to cause the molar extinction coefficients of the K, B, and C=O bands to shift from 16,160 to 27,980 and 30,250 dm(3)/mol center dot cm; from 12,750 to 17,920 and 16,130 dm(3)/mol center dot cm; and from 3850 to 3630 and 2760 dm(3)/mol center dot cm, respectively. Increasing the solution pH from 1 to 10.5 affected weakly the aromatic ring bands yet impacted greatly the chromanone carbonyl bands, causing their lambda(max) to shift from 311-326 nm to 342-346 nm and their extinction coefficients to increase from 2760-3850 dm(3)/mol center dot cm to 9940-10,160 dm(3)/mol center dot cm. A further rise in the pH resulted in hypochromia of the carbonyl band due to the destruction of the chromanones. The results were confirmed by NMR spectroscopy and GC methods

Аннотация: Methods for synthesis of nanosized precursors for the preparation of yttrium-aluminum garnet from organic-inorganic derivatives of yttrium and aluminum have been developed. Аннотация: N-Containing perfluoropentanoic acid derivatives were used as modifying additives to commercial epoxy resins. As shown by differential thermal analysis, the fluorinated organic derivatives exhibit catalytic activity in curing of epoxy resins. The following characteristics of the adhesive compounds in the cured state were determined: degree of swelling, gel fraction content, ultimate shear strength of the adhesive joint, adhesion to low-carbon St.3 steel and AMg-6 aluminum-magnesium alloy, and corrosion-protective properties with respect to these materials

Аннотация: Describing the crystal structure, packing, FT-IR, UV-Vis and NMR spectra and thermal properties of new polydentate O-ligand based on aryl-beta-diketone moieties connected by ethylene glycol spacer is the subject of this article. The results of IR, UV-Vis and H-1 NMR spectroscopy as well X-ray crystallography of 1,2-bis[2-(4,4,4-trifluoro-1-hydroxy-3-oxobut-1-enyl)phenoxy]-ethane (BTFPE) indicate that the compound exists in solution and in solid as enol. The crystal structure analysis shows that BTFPE has C2/c group of the monoclinic system. Typical S(6) intramolecular hydrogen bond occurs in each 1,3-diketo moiety. This bond is asymmetric and the H atom is closest to the 0 atom adjacent to the phenyl ring. The packing of the crystal is sustained by numerous C-H center dot center dot center dot O, O-H center dot center dot center dot F, C-H center dot center dot center dot F interactions. In the crystal, supramolecular zig-zag chains are formed along the c-axis. Short contacts interconnect the molecules into a two-dimensional layered structure wherein each molecule is node between chains. According to the thermal investigation this compound is stable up to 200 degrees C in air atmosphere, above this temperature it decomposes. Photoluminescent properties of aluminum(III) and europium(III) complexes of BTFPE were evaluated in chloroform solution and in the solid state. Aluminum complex of BTFPE shows blue luminescence with maximum at 445 nm. Europium complex exhibits intense red color luminescence at 613 nm from central Eu(III) ion through the excitation of the ligand.

Аннотация: TiO2/C nanocomposites have been synthesized by developing a facile route based on the annealing of titanium glycerolate in inert atmosphere at 250–850 °C. X-ray diffraction studies reveal that the annealing temperature determines the crystal structure of the TiO2 phase in the compounds, which can be amorphous, anatase, and rutile. In contrast, the nanosized rod-like morphology which to a certain extent is predefined by the titanium glycerolate precursor does not depend on the annealing temperature. The carbon content of the TiO2/C composites amounts to 16–29 wt% and shows up, e.g., in the characteristic Raman D and G bands. Anatase-structured TiO2/C, which is obtained at 600 °C, exhibits the best electrochemical performance among the studied materials. Without the addition of carbon black, it reaches an initial specific discharge capacity of 378 mA h g−1 at 100 mA g−1 and exhibits excellent rate capability with a capacity of 186 mA h g−1 at 1000 mA g−1.
